hey creative one,
Forgive the flashy header, but I'm obsessed with making GIFs right now and before I get to this week's post, I hope you click through and sign up for Dance-a-Day in the Month of May - my annual free daily dance encouragement series.
Flashiness aside, I'm adjusting back after a week of travel, which paved the way for some deep healing processes and recalibrating my soul and vision for my work.
It reminded me:
Stepping away is so necessary sometimes.
Not-Doing-The-Usual-Stuff is so necessary sometimes.
Watching-Cardi B-rock-it is so necessary sometimes.
(Confession: I spent more time watching Cardi B videos than I did writing this tonight.)
Shifts are happening within me, but they are not quite ready to break out into the world. Much like the indecisive Springtime energy we're having here in NYC, when everything is pushing against the surface getting ready to blossom, but not quite there yet.
And when shifts are in progress but haven't quite fully shifted yet, easing up can be helpful. As in: not overthinking or overplanning or trying to figure it all out.
During these times, dancing in the moment, in the mess, in the limbo, may be necessary. (doing The Limbo is optional, obviously.)
as i remind myself, i'll remind you, too -
Be patient with your process.
Creativity is cyclical, and we're not always meant to be actively producing.
Taking time to take things in = just as important as releasing new creations into the world.
If you're stuck in your own process, take a step out and get inspired by something different.
Trust that Spring WILL come.
Pay more attention to your body. It KNOWS things.
to the inevitable shifts and cycles that move us,
p.s. There's 1 spot still open for the Immersion experience on 4/29...
Even though I've already given 2 scholarship spots, I wanted to make this final ticket available at a sliding scale rate to help make it more accessible or more easy to say yes for one more person.
Do you sense this might be for you?
Do you know anyone who might benefit from an immersive day of dance, creative self-expression, and deep transformation with a supportive group of women?
It's such a powerful experience, the benefits last way beyond the day, and it only happens twice a year! (here's a link to videos with people's stories from past Immersions)
Comment below if you're interested in the sliding scale rate to join!
