Let's just say that this Friday falls in the midst of a very "bad situation."
I got home Thursday night after a long stretch of care-taking and family support and felt like stuffing my face and zoning out and feeling sorry for myself. Which I totally did. But then I remembered that the next day was Creative Fridays. Half cursing myself for making Fridays creative in the first place, I knew there something else I needed to do.
I thought about what I should write to you. I thought about how I could express whatever I was trying to stuff down. The big questions about life and death and art and making meaning in the world were plaguing me and I couldn't think of an eloquent way to share them.
So I picked out a card from my trusty Artist's Way deck (by Julia Cameron) and what you see here was the message I got.
"Take one small daily action instead of indulging in the big questions."
- Julia Cameron
And then I remembered:
"When all else fails, dance it out."
- Jess Grippo
Don't forget this the next time you are at your wit's end.
