on bodies, periods, sex, and power

December 9, 2020 Jess Grippo

This video that I’m finally making public online, a year after I shared it in person, is one of the most vulnerable talks I’ve ever given. It’s the journey from feeling silenced to accessing the power and rhythm in my body.

It involves parts of my story I’ve never shared before, which is why I encourage my family members to NOT watch lol - and it’s probably why I’ve avoided posting for so long. (That AND the global pandemic and largest civil rights movement in history we’ve been in this year! NBD!)

It’s about the body, the power of the body, the power that we are led to believe is outside of us - until we start to dance again and remember otherwise.

I am so grateful to Fearless Communicators and Eduardo Placer for creating the space for this story to come to life.

I would LOVE to know what it evokes.

to the power in us all,

Jess
